In order to ensure that a brand is completely cruelty free, doesn’t test on animals at any point during the production of their products, I reach out to them through email. Here is my email exchange with Ecologica…
Good evening,
Thanks for reaching out and offering to collaborate. I look forward to trying your products but first could you answer a few questions about your company’s animal testing policies? These questions are asked of every brand listed on our website so apologies if they are repetitive or you have previously answered them in a message on Instagram. Your response to the questions will be screenshotted and added to our website as evidence of your cruelty free status, let me know if you aren’t comfortable with that.
- Are your finished products or individual ingredients tested on animals?
- Do you have a Leaping Bunny, CCF or PETA certification?
- Do you ensure that your suppliers (and any third parties involved in production) do not test on animals?
- Are your products sold in any retail locations in mainland China where animal testing is required by law?
- Additionally, are any of your products completely vegan (contain no animal by products)?
Please get back to me at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time!

I have concluded that Ecologica is, in fact, cruelty free and it has been added to our database of cruelty free brands. Their products may also be featured in our shopping guides. If you have any further questions or would like to check out their products, visit their website.
