In order to ensure that a brand is completely cruelty free, doesn’t test on animals at any point during the production of their products, I reach out to them through email. Here is my email exchange with De Lu by MH…

Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in being listed in our database of cruelty free brands. I just have a few questions for you to answer, I ask these questions of every brand that is listed on the website.

  1. Are your finished products or individual ingredients tested on animals?
  2. Do you have a Leaping Bunny, PETA or CCF certification?
  3. Do you ensure that your suppliers (and any third parties involved in production) do not test on animals?
  4. Are your products available in retail locations in mainland China where animal testing is required by law?
  5. Lastly, are any or all of your products completely vegan?
