In order to ensure that a brand is completely cruelty free, doesn’t test on animals at any point during the production of their products, I reach out to them through email. Here is my email exchange with Leaders Insolution…
Hey Leaders USA team!
My name is Svetlana and I’m the founder of Ethical Bunny, a website that provides resources for cruelty free beauty consumers. I’m working on developing a list of cruelty free K-beauty brands per request of my followers. I was interested in learning more about the animal testing policies of Leaders Cosmetics so I can determine if your brand is cruelty free and I can feature it in my guide. I hope you don’t mind answering a few questions.
- Are any of your finished products or individual ingredients tested on animals?
- Do your suppliers or any third parties test on animals on your behalf?
- Are your products sold in China where animal testing is required by law?
- Do you have a Leaping Bunny, CCF or PETA certification?
- Additionally, are any or all of your products completely vegan?
Please get back to me at your earliest convenience. Thank you so much for your time!

Here is their response:
The answer here is pretty clear: Leaders Cosmetics is NOT cruelty free.
If the Korean branch of the company tests on animals, the entire brand as a whole cannot be considered cruelty free because even money from the purchases of US products will inevitably go towards animal testing for the products in Korea. Not only that, but a company must stand firm in their beliefs and Leaders has willingly chosen to test on animals for extra profit so the entire company should not be supported. You cannot abuse animals in one country and claim to be cruelty free in another. If a company tests ANY products on animals in ANY country, they are not cruelty free anywhere.
